Love will...
Love is, all at once, the most powerful thing we can do and be ...and the most fragile, too.
It costs us everything.
The vulnerability and risk inherent in loving someone, unsure if it will be reciprocated without condition, is a weakness we must endure. For it is in that risk when we see love emerge.
I think that the opposite of love is not hate, but fear.
Fear tends to control and dominate.
Fear is rarely invested in the present moment, but looks back upon mistakes or ahead in anxiety.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm the guy that says “lean in to your emotions and work through them, not around them.”
There will be no spiritual bypassing here.
We observe our difficulties and challenges and peek in the dark corners and lingering shadows.
Remember, the beginnings of growth happen in the dark rich soil below.
Where there is fear there is a lesson to learn about ourselves and how we've been conditioned to move about our world.
The real work of LOVE is to shift our perspective and work to move into spaces that generate a more expansive and generous ethic of connection and empathy.
Love will always be more, not less.
Love will always be full, not empty.
Love will always operate out of connection, not disconnection.
Love will always look to merge dark and light, not bask in one and ignore the other.
Love will...
